Global context (not our own ranking, cited for orientation): according to Autovista24 (based on EV Volumes data), the Tesla Model Y was the world's best-selling BEV in full-year 2025 with 1.086 million units, followed by the Tesla Model 3 (500,000) and the Geely Galaxy Xingyuan (474,000).
Norway is the only market in the world where the EV has effectively replaced the combustion engine. Anyone who wants to see what a fully electrified car market looks like should look here.
First-registration figures from Opplysningsrådet for veitrafikken (OFV), Norway's road-traffic data council, for full-year 2025, compiled here via motor.no (2026-01-02), which reproduces the OFV model table for free. Norway's new-car market was 95.9 percent fully electric in 2025, so the overall top 10 is de facto the EV top 10. All ten models are pure battery-electric (BEV). Deliberately Norway-only, no multi-country aggregate and no separate all-powertrain ranking, since the market contains virtually no combustion cars anymore.
